How do you stop a receding hairline?

pattern of hair loss

While many people initially think of men when it comes to a receding hairline, women can also be affected by this problem.  Women do a lot more things with their hair, including having it styled with chemical products such as hair dye and getting a permanent.  They also style their hair with many products that can collect on the scalp and clog hair follicles, and they tend to use excessive heat when they style their hair with flat irons, curling irons and hair dryers.
Women can also suffer a receding hairline when they go through various life changes and hormonal adjustments, such as pregnancy, menopause, or changes to the thyroid – hypothyroidism, for example.  Also, because women tend to be acutely aware of their looks, they tend to go on crazy crash diets that lack the proper nutrition and can cause excessive hair loss.  Certain shampoos can contain harsh cleansers that are also hard on hair follicles.

Women can use the same products that men do, however, there is a more natural approach to receding hairline treatment for women.  You can simply shop at your local health food store and obtain some simple products.  You will need essential oils – rosemary and sage.  These two oils promote the hair growth and make the shaft stronger and they can generally be purchased in small quantities – you won’t need much of them.  Pick up some anti-hairfall shampoo and conditioner, if you cannot locate these, ask your local health shop owner.
Take a small glass jar and combine 10 drops of both the rosemary and sage essential oils together in the jar.  Putting the lid on the jar and closing it tightly, shake the jar and combine the two ingredients together.  Let the oils sit for up to 3 days.

Next, you will take a few drops of the combined oils and apply them right onto your hairline, massaging the oil directly into the scalp.  It is best to do this ritual at night in order to allow it to sit on your scalp overnight.  Once you have applied the oils and massaged them in, you can also put on a shower cap and wear it to bed.  Repeat this treatment every few days.

There are specific anti hairfall shampoos and conditioners formulated to help weak hair by strengthening it.  Wash your hair every second day, but use the conditioner every day.  The shampoo can be left on for a few minutes before rinsing.  Once you rinse the shampoo out, you can wring your hair out and apply the conditioner.  Conditioner should be left on before rinsing at least 3 minutes to get the most out of it.
